Emma Watson NOT to star in F/W 2011 Burberry ad campaign, but IS one of Christopher Bailey's beauties! |

Burberry has finally released a preview of the Fall/Winter 2011 ad campaign and Emma is nowhere to be found. Instead, Rosie Huntington-Whitely will be the lead model, along with some of the male models who Emma has worked with in past campaigns.
It's unfortunate that we won't be able to catch a glimpse of Emma in the new ads, but two back-to-back campaigns isn't bad, if you ask me! :)
In other news, Christopher Bailey recently talked to the New York Times about the new Burberry makeup line and his top 6 British beauties--and Emma came in at #1!
Emma Watson: I have worked with Emma for several years. She’s someone that I really enjoy being with. She’s not only very smart -- both street-smart and academically smart -- but she also appreciates creativity and fashion, and that combination is rare. [Read full article] |
A new role for Emma and changes on the horizon of the official site |

Ann Curry announced this morning on the Today Show's coverage of the WWHP opening that Emma was not able to attend the grand opening because she was filming a new movie. We're not sure as of yet which movie that would be (unless it's the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" movie we mentioned previously), but more news will be posted here as we get it!
Emma also had a meeting today with Good Fridays (the company who develops her official website) to discuss how to "take the site forward". This will surely mean that there will be some changes to the site in the near future, so we'll keep you posted!

Inspired to make a difference |

People Tree has posted a really great article in their online magazine about how Emma has inspired one young person to make a difference by supporting and spreading the word about Fairtrade clothing.
Inspired to make a difference
When People Tree collaborated with Emma Watson on their new youth range the aim was clear; to bring Fair Trade and sustainable fashion to a new audience. The youth of today are the hope for the future and by beginning a conversation with them we have a chance to shape a better future.
People Tree, ‘Love from Emma’ has generated conversation and debate and begun to educate people who had never even considered the impact clothing can have on people and the planet.
Daniel Schoeppl is one of the next generation. Eighteen years old from Austria, Daniel was intrigued by the concept of Fair Trade fashion and since entering People Tree’s ‘Ask Emma’ competition has continued to explore the concept further. We caught up with Daniel to find out why he took to the collection so much.
Had you heard of or ever worn Fair Trade fashion before you had heard about the Emma Watson and People Tree collaboration? Yes, in Austria we’ve got an organisation/shop called “WeltLaden” that sells fair trade products from chocolate to handicrafts and recently fair trade clothing mostly from South America and India. But it was when I saw the collaboration on Emma’s official website that I wanted to know more about People Tree.
What are your favourite pieces from the collection? I would say I like all the items Emma designed because they look both good and casual. My mum especially likes the oxford cricket jumper and as we are all England fans we like all the items which are typically English. [Read full article] |

Emma Watson Throws Harry Potter Farewell Dinner
Unlike her prim alter ego, Emma Watson knows how to throw a party.
The actress, 20, who plays straight-laced Hermione Granger in the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise, hosted a dinner at her home in England recently as filming on the series drew to a close.
"The last week of filming Emma had a dinner at her place, and we spoke about the best moments of filming, our secret crushes on set – all kinds of random questions," says James Phelps, who plays mischievous Fred Weasley in the movies. "But all the answers to these questions will stay in that room!" [Source] |

[Edit] It has been confirmed by Emma's publicist that she will not be attending the opening in Orlando. [/Edit]
The grand opening is fast approaching and the general consensus seems to be that Emma will not be attending. Always the optimist, I will keep an eye out in case she does show up!
For those wishing to see the opening but who don't live in Florida, there is a website here that will be streaming video footage of the grand opening in real time, as far as I can tell. There is also meant to be an event tomorrow, Wednesday the 16th, between 9:30 and 10:00pm. Be sure to check the website for any possible changes, as it's the only official source we've got to go on so far! |
More award nominations for Emma! |

Emma has recently been nominated by The Hospital Club 100, a list of influential people in various industries, and she has been listed under the "emerging" category of the fashion field for her work with Burberry:
Watson is not only Hollywood's highest paid female actor, but has also created waves as the face of Burberry for Spring/Summer '10. She is also increasingly referred to as a style-icon. [Source] Emma has also received two nominations at the Teen Choice Awards, in the Actress Fantasy category and as part of the HBP film in the Fantasy category. Teens can vote daily at the Teen Choice Awards website here (as soon as voting opens). |
